 "Hamda is a little girl and a mental retard, whose family had abandoned her due to her disability… her beauty makes everyone fall in love with her at first sight. I met this girl by accident, more than twenty years ago when I accompanied one of my sons to Carmel Hospital in Haifa, there I met Hamda, who touched me deeply and still does to this very day, and I wanted to write a play which tells her story." – This is what the theater artist Adel Abu Raya said explaining about the play. He adds, "The idea of the play evolved and matured, it was taken from Nabil Kablan, a superintendent of services to mentally retarded people in the northern region, who came to me with a good idea for a new play. I worked together with him on developing the idea. I wrote and directed this play, the cast includes mentally retarded people and professional actors, the combination allows this segment to strengthen and integrate properly in our society."
